What is GT3 racing?
GT stands for Grand Touring, and as the name of this race category suggests, this is third version of this popular event, which began in the mid 90s.
GT races started with ordinary road cars modified for race use. But as time went on, this style of racing fell out of favour. GT3 has more rules and regulations in place, ensuring a level playing field for competitors and a balance between accessibility and car performance. The cars are still modified road cars, but they adhere to a stricter standard.
