Monday 22nd June marked a quarter of a century since the first Fast & Furious film raced onto our screens and captured the hearts of motoring enthusiasts and action fans around the world.
For almost 25 years, we have lived vicariously through our street-racing heroes, and more recently, we have been able to recreate their daring driving exploits on our home circuits thanks to our range of replica models.
The latest additions to the Scalextric Fast & Furious car collection include the 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback and the Ford Escort Mk1 from Fast & Furious 6. These two cars are particularly memorable for the thrilling tank chase sequence in the film, which saw the Mustang get crushed by a modified Chieftain tank, while the Ford Escort, driven by hero Brian O’Conner, is there to save the day.

If ever there was a car built to jump over the central reservation of a freeway, it was the Ford Escort Mk1. In the film, the car was bought at an auction in London by Tej Parker and then used by Brian O’Conner to chase Owen Shaw and his tank.
The tank fires at a bridge, creating a ramp for Brian to launch the Escort from, leading to the kind of awe-inspiring jump you’d expect from a Hollywood blockbuster. Once Roman Pearce is safely rescued from the Mustang, Brian drives into the wrecked car, helping to push it off the elevated freeway to create an anchor that brings the tank to a halt.

Tej Parker also introduced the crew to the Mustang, which Roman Pearce then uses to get in front of the rogue tank to slow it down. But when the tank fires at him, he hits the brakes and finds himself stuck under its tracks.
With the car slowly falling further underneath the tank, Roman has to climb out of the Mustang. He takes a cable attached to the car and wraps it around the tank nose, before jumping onto Brian’s Escort. The Mustang is crushed, but the crew achieve their goal of stopping the tank.

The charismatic American muscle car and agile British rally classic are the perfect team in this high-octane chase scene. And they make an exciting pairing on the Scalextric circuits too.
Whether you’re looking for your next stand-out racing car or a must-have piece for your movie collection, these Fast & Furious 6-inspired designs are incredible replicas.
The Ford Escort Mk1 faithfully emulates the sporty two-tone livery of the movie car, while the Mustang looks effortlessly cool in its pure white look. Both cars feature working lights and Magnatraction technology, ensuring the most exhilarating home races.
Add to your Fast & Furious collection and bring one of cinema’s most explosive car chase scenes to your circuit.
