Why is the Gulf livery so special?
The bright orange stripe on a blue background has become synonymous with endurance racing thanks to the special relationship the North American oil company has with these supercar teams.
The colourway was first used in 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1968 on Ford GT40 cars. It has since been seen on the Porsche 917, McLaren M20 Can-Am, McLaren F1 GTR, Aston Martin Vantage and Audi R8 in various forms, making it a true icon of the race circuit.
