Terms and conditions
1. Promotion Overview
1.1. The Scalextric Trick or Treat Trail (“Promotion”) is an online activity organised by Hornby Hobbies Ltd. Participants must find all six golden sweets hidden across the Scalextric website storefront to complete the Trail.
1.2. The Promotion will run from 9am on 27th October 2025 to 4pm on 30th October 2025.
1.3 Participants can pre-register between 20th October and 26th October 2025 to take part in the Promotion.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Promotion is open to all participants who register for the Trick or Treat Trail via the Scalextric website.
2.2. No purchase is necessary.
2.3. Marketing consent is required to receive the full experience, including emailed clues and rewards.
3. How To Enter
3.1. To enter, users must opt in via the button on the landing page or via the on-site pop-up. Participants must provide their email address and consent to marketing communications for the best experience.
3.2. Clues will be emailed to all registered participants who have provided marketing consent at 9am on 27th October 2025. Clues will also be available on the website.
3.3. Participants must find all six hidden golden sweets across the Scalextric website. Each sweet is only counted once per visit to the product page.
3.4. Sweets will only count towards a participant’s progress when visiting the product page containing the hidden sweet. Sweets spotted while browsing category pages will not count.
4. Rewards
4.1. Completion Reward
- Participants who successfully find all six golden sweets will receive a 15% off code immediately upon completing the Trail. This code is valid from the moment of issue until 11th November 2025.
- Participants who complete the Trail will also receive an exclusive one-day-only treat via email on 31st October 2025 as part of the Halloween celebration.
4.2. Participation Reward
- Hornby Hobbies Ltd may, at its discretion, send a small thank-you reward to some registered participants after the Promotion ends. Any such reward will be distributed by email on 31st October 2025, with validity dates specified at the time of issue.
4.3. Code Distribution
- Reward codes are distributed automatically via the website or by Scalextric marketing.
- All codes are subject to terms and conditions as outlined in this document and our standard discount code terms and conditions which can be found on our general terms and conditions page under the Voucher / Discount Codes section.

5. Code Validity
5.1. Codes received as part of this promotion are valid only on the storefront in which all six sweets were found.
5.2. There are no maximum spend limitations associated with this code.
5.3. The 15% off code is valid until 11th November 2025.
5.4. The exclusive one-day-only treat is valid on 31st October 2025.
5.5. Codes are valid for in-stock items only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
6. General terms
6.1. All entries and participation must be completed within the Promotion period as stated. Any entries after this period will not be eligible.
6.2. Hornby Hobbies Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion and these terms and conditions without prior notice in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
6.3. By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any decision made by Hornby Hobbies Ltd in relation to the Promotion.
6.4. Reward codes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other product or service.
6.5. Hornby Hobbies Ltd will not be responsible for any issues arising from technical failures, such as network errors, that may affect participation or redemption of rewards.
6.6. The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any third-party platforms, including social media networks.
7. Privacy
7.1. Any personal data submitted will be processed in accordance with the Hornby Hobbies Ltd Privacy Policy. By participating in the Promotion, participants consent to the collection and use of their data for the purposes of administering the Promotion and issuing reward codes.
