SCALEXTRIC TO SPONSOR UK SLOT CAR FESTIVAL 2022

Hornby Hobbies Ltd has announced that Scalextric will be the headline sponsor of the UK Slot Car Festival this May and will showcase the latest range of cars and sets at the event.

Scalextric is delighted to be supporting the UK’s number one slot car event as headline sponsor for the seventh year in a row. Visitors can race for free on the Scalextric track, with a competition running across the weekend to win some Scalextric goodies.

New to 2022 will be the Scalextric Family Funday Sunday, where children can get creative by building their own crazy Micro Scalextric layouts or practising their race skills on the pre-built Micro Scalextric and 1:32 Scalextric racetracks. Competitions will be running throughout the show all weekend for the more competitive racers.

Scalextric will also be announcing their next Scalextric Club exclusive model for 2023 at this event and showgoers can renew their membership after the announcement or join the current 2022 Scalextric Club at www.scalextric.com/club.

The excitement doesn’t stop there! For the children, there will be a figure painting area as well as a livery competition where kids can design a Scalextric car livery with the winning livery being created on an actual Scalextric car and sent to the winner! There will also be a full-scale DeLorean close by to celebrate the highly anticipated launch of the Scalextric Back to the Future vs Knight Rider set.

As in previous years, there will be a meet and greet on the Scalextric stand where enthusiasts can discover the company’s new and exciting products, including prototypes of Mr Bean’s Mini – Do-It-Yourself and the famous Bluesmobile.
